Three years of blogging is down in the books! Three years is a third of the time I spent teaching. I can’t believe that it’s been that long since I first pressed “publish” on my very first blog post. I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for four years now, and I honestly don’t know where I’d be without my Seven Graces community. Seven Graces has been my creative baby, and it’s been a blast keeping it going. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been a lot of hard work, upsets, and late nights, but so much joy has come from it, too. To me, it’s more than a just a blog, it’s my community, my people.
When I first started blogging, I had no idea what I was stepping into. I knew I wanted to help people feel less alone, and by opening up my heart, I’m the one who actually became less alone. God works in crazy ways, doesn’t He?
My favorite thing about blogging has been sharing my journey and hearing from people how I encouraged them right when they needed it. My husband, who is also one of my biggest supporters, always reminds me, “Babe, remember when you just wanted to help one person?” And I just smile, because God had way bigger plans than that.
For those of you who’ve been following along since the beginning, thank you. You’ve been there for me when my grandpa died, when M lost his job, and when we welcomed in baby Colin. You’ve read about my fears, my hopes, and my dreams, and it’s been such an honor and blessing to share my stories with you. Thank you for trusting me with my opinion. Each time I open up my laptop, I think of you when I write as if we’re chatting during a lunch date.
I’ve met some amazing ladies through blogging, some beautiful blogging friends, and I’ve even met some of my very best friends (who aren’t bloggers) because of deciding to take a leap of faith and starting Seven Graces.
