It’s been a while since I’ve done an update on Charlotte and how much she’s growing. I used to do it monthly, but I guess that stops once they turn two, huh? She’s now two and two months. Although, with each passing month, this little girl does more and more and more and more. Growing. It just doesn’t stop. With that being said, I wanted to take a minute and reflect on just how much my little muffin has grown since her last update.
Dear Charlotte Grace,
Time sure does fly when you’re having fun! It even flies when times are tough. No matter how hard I try, I can’t get time to slow down. You amaze me every day. Lately, you know no stranger. You have the kindest soul I’ve ever had the privilege to be around. And quite honestly, I don’t know what I did to deserve you, but I am so glad God made you mine.
Some new things you’re doing (or just getting better at) are:
- singing “Let it Go.”
- dancing with pure abandon.
- talking up a storm, like full-on conversations, and you know SO MANY words. You surprise me daily.
- letting me know you have a dirty diaper, yet you are terrified of the potty.
- pointing out our relatives in pictures and calling them by their names (or nicknames).
- saying “Helloooo” when you wake up to get our attention.
- talking to your babies and soothing them (makes me think you’ll be a great big sister one day).
- saying you’re ready to eat before nap time or bedtime. I think you’re learning the art of stalling.
- coloring and drawing.
- saying, “I’m funny!” You like to say this after you do something I’ve told you not to do.
- saying, “Peace” for “please” and “tank ya” for “thank you.” You also think that just because you say please that means you’ll get what you want. I think we have a long road of learning that one.
- clapping and cheering after performances.
You love:
- chocolate and anything sweet. Look at you eyeing that Rice Crispy treat.
- macaroni and cheese, pizza, and chicken.
- talking on FaceTime with family.
- dressing up in “pretty” clothes (you think everything is pretty if it’s a piece of clothing).
- carrying around your purse and baby dolls.
- going out to eat (you even point out “Fil-A,” also known as Chick-fil-A).
- going anywhere (you’re always ready to GO).
- running, as if you were Forrest Gump.
- being outdoors.
- attention and dramatics.
- sleeping late.
- being with your family.
- relaxing on your back, propped up on a pillow or with Mama or Daddy, and you love to plop your hands behind your head.
- playing with all your toys.
- jumping, especially on your trampoline.
- “swing swing” or “slide.”
- sitting in your high chair.
- Roni (Chaperoni, our fluffy dog).
- reading all the books before bedtime.
- mimicking anything Mama or Daddy does.
- and you still love “Zozen” (also known as Frozen).
You are the best, my sweet girl! You are a sponge right now, and it’s so fun to watch you learning and growing each day. You are loved more than you’ll ever comprehend.
With all my heart,
Mama
And for all my friends and family watching her grow up with me, thanks for being a part of our life. We love you!

The art of stalling- my daughter knows this well. Why ARE they always hungry right at bedtime?! ;)
