My sweet little love turns four today! It seems like just yesterday that I was in the hospital after impatiently awaiting her arrival. Her birth story is one of my favorites, because she’s the one who made me a mama.
Three was such a BIG year for my sweet girl. BIG emotions and BIG loving. It’s the year she became a sister, and even though this year has been rough all around, it’ll always have a special place in my heart.
This past year we spent lots of special one-on-one time together before Colin arrived, and my sweet Charlotte had so many firsts. You’d think that after the first year of life, those “firsts” would go away, but not for this girl. Three was the year of her first big girl room, first time to go potty by herself, first trip to the movies, first haircut, first plane ride, first stitches, first performances and plays, first time to ballet and golf, first time to stay a weekend by herself with Nana, first time to start playing with Barbies, and first time to become a big sister.
Charlotte’s favorites this year are all things princess, anything with “sprinkles”( which to her means sparkles), every single Daniel Tiger episode, singing and dancing to The Sound of Music, and the color green because it reminds her of the trees and green lights. She absolutely loves being a big sister and loves her family so much. Parties are her jam and celebrations are her favorite. This girl loves sweets.
She stopped napping this past month, and I was a little sad about it, but I guess that just means she’s growing up. We couldn’t be more proud to be her parents and to have her grace our lives. She brings so much joy to everyone she meets, and I thank God for her every day.
And let the record show that on this day that I’m writing this, my precious angel decided to make this the day that she cut her hair. Angel! Lord, help me with this fourth year. Amen.
Let’s stay in touch, shall we? Be sure to follow along in these places:
