Happy Friday! Before I get into my favorites of the week, let me just say that YOU are my favorite! I am blown away by all the positive energy and kind feedback y’all have been giving me on my blog post from Monday. I guess we’re all just trying to figure this life thing out, and with God’s grace and mercy, we all are doing the best we can. Now, you want to talk about some more fun things that hit my radar this week? Okay.
ONE.
Charlotte being a big girl.
Now there are two big transitions about to happen, and one of them has to do with the bed and one of them has to do with the potty. I think we’re going to tackle the transition to the toddler bed first, but man, it’s breaking my heart to let her grow up. She’s not climbing out of her crib, which is making me really stubborn to make the switch. I’m dreading this transition, but I guess it has to happen sooner or later. Your comments on Instagram about the matter have me digging my heels even more, so we’ll see what happens.
And then there is potty training. Sister girl will be 3 next month, and we’ve introduced the potty, and they are acquainted, but Charlotte gives that thing the cold shoulder all the time. She’s really not interested. I think we’ll try next weekend to give it a go. Send me your potty training tips, please! Or better yet, send me a link to a book that was helpful. I’d so appreciate it.
TWO.
Organization.
January always sparks an organization frenzy in me. I am loving the #simplicitychallenge2016 by Emily Ley. She’s been sharing on her Instagram a simple tip to get you organized and together. I love it! These were the first nine she’s shared. Awesome, right?
THREE.
Decluttering.

Organization goes hand in hand with decluttering! I love this #PRCDeclutterChallenge by the Pink Rose Company based out of Houston. You can grab your own printable checklist HERE. She’s also been giving daily encouragement to keep you on track. Don’t worry if you haven’t started yet. Start any day and make it work for you. I love the one step a day approach.
FOUR.
Favorite pens for my planner.
A long time ago, I did a sponsored post for these Pilot Frixion Clicker pens. They are by far my favorite pens to use in my new planner because they are totally erasable! They aren’t the old-school, make a mess, erasable pens either. These are magic. They erase completely. I don’t know how many times I used to use White-Out in my planner because something changed in my planner. Not anymore. I’ve learned my lesson. I’ll be using these from now on.
FIVE.
Links I Love.
This has been a good week for the Internet. I’ve seen some amazing stories and helpful tips. Here’s a roundup of my favorite.
- This video about parenting and how fast it goes. Grab your tissue
- The full version of Adele’s carpool karaoke with The Late Late Show with James Corden. See it HERE. It’s so good.
- Steve Harvey giving a sermon. See it HERE. These words, y’all. Inspiration for days.
- Celine Dion’s cover of Hello. God bless her. She sang this at a New Year’s Eve concert. You can see her sing it HERE.
- The One iPhone Setting That Will Save All the Data: My friend Stephanie from Olive & Tate wrote this piece to help you save your data and going over your data plan. I do this and turn my wi-fi assist off.
And thats all, folks! I hope you all have the best weekend! See you next week with something I need your help with. Be blessed, friends!

Darcy from A Memory of Us says
That organization chart looks great! I love the idea of just doing one simple thing a day, rather than losing a whole weekend to it.

Thanks, Darcy! The one thing a day is way better than a whole list. :) I’m loving it. Hope you’re having a great week so far!

I love your list, Kristy! Thanks for sharing about the decluttering challenge!
Kristy says

Both of my kids transitioned out of their cribs with no problems. You’ll just never know until you give it a try. You’ve got this, Mama!!

We’ve had no problems so far. Thank the Lord! Thanks for the encouragement, Brettni! Hope you’ve been having a great week!

Love those tips about organisation, my house is a hot mess and I need to get rid of the clutter and organise more its driving me insane. I think one simple thing a day will work better for me as I get overwhelmed easy, such a great idea.
Kristy says
Aren’t they great? My house is full of clutter, so I need this in my life like crazy. I think I can tackle one thing at a time. Makes it much more manageable. :) Happy decluttering!

Good luck on potty training & transitioning to a toddler bed! I’m sure Charlotte will do wonderfully. All my kids just sort of took on potty training at their own pace. Even the twins had their own way of adapting to it. Toddler beds were a little more difficult, and one of the twins still doesn’t like sleeping in her own bed. She crawls into her twin sisters bed or my bed every night. I’ll be coming back to hear how your process is going!
Kristy says
Thanks, Nikki! She has been doing a great job so far. I can only imagine the transition into a toddler bed with twins. I’m sure that is tricky. I’ll let you know more progress when a little more time passes. And potty training. Oh, man. I’m dreading it.

Kristy says
Yes, girl!
Adele is just too cool for school. She is so great. I have felt the need to purge so much this year already. I can’t wait to get it all done!
Whitney Smith says
Im in a crazy organizing/ cleaning frenzy at the moment, glad Im not alone. I did Stephanie’s phone trick and shared about it with my brother haha. He has an Android and apparently that features built in, ladidah ;)
Kristy says
Me too!
And yeah, iPhones are a bit much. I love it, but I also can hate it. Apple is just a snob of a product. Lol.
Hope you’re having a great week!

Potty training tips are much appreciated. I’d love to hear how this goes. My twins will be 3 in February also, and they also are giving the potty the cold shoulder. We even bought princess pull-ups for my girly girl and cars pull-ups for the big guy and they still aren’t having any of that.
Kristy says
I will let you know as soon as I cross that potty training bridge. Lol. I’m still stalling. ;) Hope you’re having a great week!
