Hey beautiful people!
If you’re an avid reader of the blog, you’ve probably noticed a leave of absence happening around here, and let me tell you: it wasn’t at all planned. Life sometimes throws you curve balls and God sometimes prioritizes things that need to be reprioritized. That’s kind of what has happened to me. I’ve also shared in my InstaStories, briefly, some goings on in our life that have left us heart broken, and other goings on, too.
In my brief sabbatical, I’ve learned quite a bit about myself, and sister, let me tell you. It’s been the biggest eye opener of my life! I’m so excited to tell you all about my journey to find myself again, and I am busting at the seams to spill the beans, because a little bird told me you could greatly learn and grow from this as well. But that’s not what today’s blog post is about at all. I’ll save that for a different day. ;)
I feel like Seven Graces needs to go through a rebirth, and just a few weeks ago marked FOUR YEARS of our tribe coming alive through this space. Isn’t that crazy?! I started this blog when Charlotte was Colin’s age, and it’s so crazy to look back at blog posts when she was a tiny toddler just like he is today.
When I was looking over my pageview stats (they’re still holding strong even after my inconsistent posting, thankfully), it didn’t surprise me to see what the internet is loving right now on Seven Graces.
TOP FIVE FAVORITE POSTS TRENDING IN THE LAST 30 DAYS
In case you haven’t seen these posts, I highly suggest you take a peek. Here’s the lowdown, starting with number 5 in rank order, then we’ll count down to the world wide web’s favorite, AKA your top pick.
FIVE.
This one doesn’t surprise me, because hello, who else is craving the warm sun and nice tropical getaway?! If you’ve never been to an all-inclusive resort, I shared what you need to know and how the one we went to in Cancun fared for us.

FOUR.
Number four on the list, still going strong from the day I published it four long years ago, is 10 Things You Must Do in Napa Valley. This was well before I used a fancy camera and way before I ever knew what a sponsored post was, however, my sentiments about one of my most favorite places on earth still ring true. I even did a follow-up of 5 More Things You Must Do in Napa Valley; it’s linked at the bottom of the original. Who’s planning a trip soon?
THREE.
You guys love Paula Deen’s recipes just as much as I do! I’m not on this diet of “eat whatever you want” right now, but if you are, this recipe is for you! It’s the perfect brunch casserole for you and your people. Promise!
Also in that post is my favorite Christian playlist of all time, and I would like to think that’s another reason why that post is so popular. When I was reading through it again, a quote stuck out to me:
Favorites of the Week: Hash Brown Casserole & Contemporary Christian Music
TWO.
Number two on the favorite of the month is this gem. Who else’s recipes do we love around here? Good ol’ Martha! We recreate Martha Stewart’s recipes time and time again in this house, so this delicious veggie salad is a no-brainer. And it just looks so beautiful when it’s all said and done. This recipe spells spring and summer and will be the hit of the party!

ONE.
Be still my heart!!! I just can’t with this post. It’s gone “viral” on Pinterest and is clearly the favorite of Seven Graces month after month, and it makes me cry every time I read it. I sign Charlotte up for Kindergarten next week, and my chest might explode from all of my anxiety about that. If you need a good cry, go ahead and give this a read or read it again. If you’re a mom, you most definitely will be able to relate.
And there you have it! The very best and brightest this month on Seven Graces! It’s crazy how some of these are years old, and yet they’re still being viewed. It also gives me a good indication of what you love to see: travel, recipes, and motherhood. Want more of that? You got it!
I know I always say that I’ll be sharing more blog posts soon, but this time I mean it. Follow-through is one of the things I learned that I’m lacking. I learned a lot about the things I’m lacking, but you know what? I’ve also learned who I want to become and that the me I am right now? She’s pretty awesome, too.
So thank you again. Thank you for being part of this community. Thank you for reading my words, making a recipe I’ve shared, sharing with your friends, following along on social media, and most of all, thank you for being a virtual (or real life) friend. You mean the world to me. And I truly mean that. You know why? Because God made you and He doesn’t make junk. We’re all on this journey together, and I’m so thankful for people like you making the world a happier, brighter place.
Love to you all!
Kristy
P.S. If you could do me a favor, could you comment with an XOXO just as sort of a roll call so I can see who is still reading? I know comments on blogs are pretty antiquated now and take a few minutes to do, but it would mean so much to me if you did. I’ll do a drawing for a little something to send your way for those of you who do leave a comment. Good luck!
