It’s almost Easter, and I’m so excited! Easter is one of my most favorite holidays, and I hold so many special memories from it, growing up and now with my babies. One of my favorite traditions is making capirotada (Mexican bread pudding) on Good Friday with my Momo. It’s the simplest recipe, but spending time in the kitchen with her, helping her whip everything up will forever be special to me. I’m thinking this year that Charlotte will be our little helper, too.
Another one of my favorite traditions that we used to do with my mom is pick out our perfect Easter dress. Charlotte is such a girly girl, and she loves anything with lots of fluff and lots of twirl. Over Spring Break, we were able to go to Dillard’s with my mom, and Little Miss picked out her Easter dress all on her own. While my mom and I were looking for clothes, that girl was loving everything! “Nana, look at this! Nana, look at that!” Finally, she ran up to us, swung a pretty dress around to grab our attention and asked, “Mom, is it my size?!” I looked at it, and it sure enough was! I told her that it was meant just for her! It’s precious, and I’m sure she’ll want to wear it to church every week. I’m so glad we got to experience that with my mom. She reminded me that I was just like Charlotte looking for clothes when I was little. It was too funny!
I found my Easter dress on Amazon this year, and it comes in so many pretty color patterns! I think I might order a couple more before the season is over. For under 30 bucks, you just can’t go wrong. I ordered a medium, and it fits perfectly. It’s so comfortable so I could definitely see myself wearing this on the weekends just for fun, too. I’m 5’2″ and it’s not too long either. Sometimes that’s an issue with maxi dresses, but this one worked out perfectly.
For Colin, Michael and I looked online for a little suit ensemble, and we found the perfect one! Oh my goodness, I cannot wait to see him in this. The navy jacket and bow tie is the cutest thing ever!
Our Easter outfits are the top three in the collage, but I put together some other fun options as well. You know I love coordinating with my kids on holidays, so everything is picture ready. ;) Add in some bunny ears, and you’re good to go!

I also wanted to give you a sneak peek of me in my Easter dress. I was so fortunate to do my first fashion blogger photo shoot with Tiffany from Tiffany Harston Photography here in Houston. I’ll be sharing more of our session soon, but I couldn’t wait to show you a couple of this dress.
This dress is Amazon Prime ready, so you can get yours well before Easter if you order today. ;)
What’s your favorite Easter tradition? Do you dress up?
