Happy Friday! This week has been filled to the brim with good stuff, but I’m going to do a quick recap because the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
ONE.
Yesterday, I attended my first Mother’s Tea at Charlotte’s Mother’s Day Out. It was absolutely adorable. The kids from the school gave the Blessed Mother flowers at church, we received a special blessing, then we had a precious reception where I got these two handmade gifts that I’ll treasure forever. Handmade gifts are the best gifts, and it’s going to be hard for me to ever part with anything she’s made this year.
TWO.
We celebrated Cinco de Mayo this year at our favorite American restaurant where I enjoyed the best Asian salad ever and M had crawfish. That’s kind of funny to me. However, we did not skip the chips and queso. Charlotte really lived it up dancing around to 90s music, too.
THREE.
I’ll be starting this book this weekend, and I’m so excited to dive in. I’ve loved Jess & Haley ever since I first came across the Naptime Diaries (they founded that, SheReadsTruth, and the The Influence Network), and I can’t wait to soak up all the anointed words these women have to share.
Wild & Free by Jess Connolly & Haley Morgan
FOUR.
He’s back, y’all. Our summer song is here. This is straight from JT himself. You’re welcome.
You can find his song in these places:

FIVE.
I shared this quote this week on Instagram (and Faceboook), and it still has me motivated. I’ve been really excited about this, and I think we as moms definitely need to remember that whatever sets our soul on fire is important. Whether that be finding joy in motherhood or working hard on a project at work, it matters. Do it loudly and proudly and with all the love you have.
To all my mama friends, I hope you have the best Mother’s Day celebrating the fact that you are the best mom you can be! And if you need to release some happy tears, definitely watch this video. It’s been viewed over 15 million times on Facebook, so you know it’s a good one. Nichole Nordeman’s song Slow Down perfectly captures the mama heart.
And just in case you missed it, here’s what I shared earlier in the week:
Be blessed, friend! Have the best weekend ever! See you here soon.

Kristy, HAPPY MOTHER’s DAY! I’ve been off the blog scene for homeschooling reasons, but I’m back (at least for the summer) and so glad to hop back over to your blog. Your daughter is growing and gorgeous. I’m off to listen to this new JT song!

Girl, you know that song has been on repeat here! G did not like me dancing to the bus stop today. And, yum on that queso! It’s one of my favorites. And you’re one of my favorite mamas – enjoy your day! Love you!

I’ve seen so many great posts about Mother’s day teas and ‘muffins with mom’. I’m definitely mentioning this to Wyatt’s school; it’s just too sweet!
Hope you had a fabulous day yesterday!
