Happy Friday, people! Sometimes I laugh at myself at how honest I am here on the blog, but it’s my safe haven. I really try to stay as positive as I can, and I always try to end on a good note in every post, but this past year has been something else. I’ve just now accepted that crazy land is now my new normal. I’m going to embrace it instead of trying to fight it. Things have changed SO MUCH in the past year, and even more so in the past month or so, and there’s no end in sight in the change department. And did I mention that now I’m pregnant and pregnancy hormones thrown into all of this business has me like that cartoon scene when the little man eats hot sauce or gets mad and his eyes pop out and his head spins? Yeah, that’s the current state of affairs right now. So all that to say if you’ve been following along for however long you have been, THANK YOU. Thank you for loving me and my imperfect self. Thank you for being patient with me to get back to emails and comments here and on social media. I promise I’m doing the best I can, and if I don’t respond, just know I read it and appreciate it more than you know, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. We’re all in this together, and I really don’t know what I’d do without you and all of your prayers and support. Know that I pray for you daily, too. Yep, you’re welcome. This crazy lady prays for you.
Now that I have that out of the way, let’s talk about some favorites of the week.
ONE.
I shared this on Instagram (as I have been sharing most things these days), and it’s my latest food obsession. Fruit, fruit, fruit! We’ve been buying it in bulk, and then Michael cuts it up and puts it in our giant bowl, and we eat it for days. It’s actually cheaper than buying it already cut up. Imagine that. I also love dousing it with Tajin classic seasoning. It’s the best! Did you have a favorite pregnancy craving?
TWO.
In case you missed it, on Monday, I shared Why We’re Still in Diapers at Age 3: Our Potty Training Journey So Far. Unfortunately, we still haven’t quite made the transition out of them. My attitude has been so non-chalant about it, because honestly, I have other things to worry about. My sweet cheeks is getting close to being ready to make the leap, but she’s not there yet, bless her heart. She will be soon though. I can feel it.
THREE.
I also shared our Easter weekend if you’re in need of an Easter picture overload from me. Because you know you want to really read my words about what I thought of our holiday, right?
FOUR.
See this goodness right up there? Those pictures are proof that I finally had a coffee date with friends. I met up with Meg, Esther, Katie, and Sara on Tuesday at Common Bond in Houston, and it was so worth the drive into town. I’d drive through traffic and high water to get to spend a little girl time with some of my favorite ladies. I love my husband and I love my little girl, but moms need their mama friends, too. Lattes and lady friends forever!
FIVE.
Can I get an Amen? I’ve been compiling a list of my favorite verses from the Bible to calm my anxious heart, and when I asked for your favorites on Instagram and Facebook, y’all gave some great verses! If you didn’t get a chance to respond, let a sister know: What’s your favorite verse to calm an anxious soul? (Picture from Proverbs 31 Ministries.)
And that’s a wrap, folks! I did it! I finally blogged three times in a week again. Next goal is to start responding to comments faster. ;) I have so much in store for the blog, so I do hope you stay tuned! A Bible study update, more “from the hearts,” and more baby bump updates are coming soon. What are your favorite types of Seven Graces blog posts?
Happy weekend, friend! I’ll see you here next week or on social media this weekend, whichever happens first. Be blessed!
Are we connected? Don’t miss a thing…

I love your honesty on here. I am all about the fruit too. Fruit salad was pretty much the only thing I ate my first trimester.
Darcy from A Memory of Us says
Yum that looks so good! It’s definitely cheaper to buy it and cut it up yoruself!

We’re all a little crazy ;) and that fruit salad–YUM!
Shelly @ the Queen in Between says
The sooner you just go with it the easier it will be…haha….mommyhood is just crazy town and I wish I could say the older they get the easier it gets but I’d say it just gets different. I had some crazy drama this week with my 25 year old and my 10 year old actually shushed me and told me our conversation was going nowhere….always crazy! One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5-6. So many times worrying about the future just gets me all worked up…and the unknown can really derail me. Hang in there….you got this!

AMEN. I’ve been thinking a lot on Psalm 34:18 too, Psalm 46. I LOVE these Friday Favorites/Currently Confessing posts. :) You have BEAUTIFUL pictures. :)
Becky @ bybmg says
Our oldest didn’t potty train until 3 1/2, and when he did, it was a breeze because he was ready. I’m all about waiting until they’re ready!
My fave verse is Jeremiah 29:11

That tajin looks right up my alley! Now I’m googling where to buy it in canada!! Just remember that this will pass too!! Hard to believe when you’re in it though :)
Brettni @ BringingUpBrumfields says
I couldn’t eat enough fruit while I was pregnant with my son and it wasn’t until then that I tried organic fruit of any kind for the first time. It was strawberries and they never tasted better. =)

I love Psalm 18:16-19! Love reading your posts and I am praying for you and your family!! God bless!

Thanks so much, Courtney! I really appreciate hearing that about my honesty. Some people think it’s too much, some people think it’s not enough. I just stay true to who I am, and that’s the best I can do. ;) Yes, fruit is so much better when you’re pregnant for some reason. I hope you’re doing well! You look absolutely fantastic! I just blog-stalked, and I’m so excited for you to welcome a little girl.
Hope you’re having a great week!
Kristy says
Yes! It is so much cheaper. When we priced it out, we are definitely getting so much more for our money. :)

Insane in the membrane. Lol. Hope you and your beautiful girls are having a great week! I love seeing y’all pop up on my Snapchat. So much gorgeousness!

Yes, Shelly! I’ve accepted the mess in all it’s glory and things really are so much better. Hope your crazy has simmered down, too. :) Thanks for sharing your favorite verses. I love it!

Thanks so much, Em! These Friday posts are fun for me, because I just get to be my normal self. So happy to hear that you enjoy them. And thank you so much for being patient with me as we settle into a new routine. (Sorry this reply is a month late–Eeek!) I appreciate the comment about my pictures, too. I love photography now, and I only hope to get better! Xoxo

I’m thinking she’ll be 3 1/2 by the time she actually gets it with the potty training. Every time I think we’re getting close, nothing. It’s almost like false labor–all the signs are there, but no such luck. I know she’ll get it sooner than later!
And I love that verse!
Hope you’ve had a happy April, Becky!
Kristy says
Thanks, Vanessa! Those two things are definitely a favorite right now. :) Hope you’ve been having a great month! Xoxo

You are so fabulous, Sara! Thank you! I’m really trying my hardest to get three posts out a week, but I’m sure that will change again. Lol. Lots of love to you, friend!

Yum! Italian food sounds great! I was craving chicken spaghetti today, and it sure was delicious. :) Hope you’re having a great week!
Kristy says
Haha, Morgan! I actually am not craving sweets that much. I craved them more with Charlotte. Now I’m just like give me all the fruit and food! Lol.
Kristy says
The Tajin spice is so good, Sarita! I hope you’re able to find it. :)
Yes, and I can see a new day coming soon! Thanks so much for the words of encouragement. Xoxo
Kristy says
I don’t think I’ve had organic strawberries! I’ll have to taste them to see the difference. :) Hope you’ve been having a fabulous month!
Kristy says
That is such a great Psalm, Elise! Thanks so much for sharing that with me. And thank you even more for praying! Hope you and your family are doing well and having a great month. Xoxo
