Even though September is a beautiful month, it’s also been one marked by a lot heartache, in the world and for me personally: the September 11th attacks, the passing of my father-in-law to cancer, and now the passing of my grandpa to cancer. But because of my faith, the sun still rises and the night can only last for so long. So today, I want to get back to blogging about the fun things I love. I figured a “currently” blog post was a good place to start. Here we go…
ONE.
Loving…
New York Fashion Week on Instagram and Snapchat. It’s probably the closest I’ll ever come to being a part of it. I love seeing all the fashion bloggers share their pictures of the city and of the fashion shows. It’s definitely a sight for sore eyes.

TWO.
Thankful for…
my friends, particularly, my best friend. Charlotte calls her, “Aunt Sarah.” My BFF is one of my rocks in life. She grounds me and is a breathe of fresh air, and she is always there, even if I just need her to sit in silence with me. She helped me out with Charlotte twice during the funeral services without any prior planning because my brain was in “not functioning” mode, and she even brought food twice to my family. Did I mention she did all this while still being super mom to her four kids? Yes, that is what best friends are made of: taking care of each other in the good times and the bad. I’m so thankful I’ve been able to do life with her by side for the last 20-something years. BFFs since 5th grade and going strong. I only wish we lived in the same town. Maybe one day.
THREE.
Excited about…
fall clothes and accessories from Sugar Bit. The top two items are three-quarter length dresses with the cutest prints, and I can’t wait to pair them with tights and boots on Charlotte. The pajamas are my favorite, because, hello, crowns for my princess. And the swaddle blanket, well, it’s been all the rage on Instagram, so how can you resist that? Who cares if Charlotte is too old to be swaddled, she can use it for her baby dolls or when traveling. Natasha, Sugar Bit shop owner, always writes the best hand-written notes with orders, too. I even love the koozie.
FOUR.
Wearing…
matching clothes with Charlotte. I love that my little girly girl is at the stage where I get to match her shamelessly. We coordinate as much as I can. Two of my favorite outfits we’ve worn lately are these above. I’m living in that new chambray top, by the way. It’s the softest fabric ever.
FIVE.
Watching…
lots of TV. We are so close to fall TV premieres, and I’m pumped about Scandal, The Walking Dead, and Downton Abbey (all available seasons on Amazon Prime). An early premiere fall TV show I’ve been loving is Fear the Walking Dead on AMC. It’s a great suspenseful series that is giving The Walking Dead a run for its money.
We also recently watched The Wedding Ringer with Josh Gad (Olaf), Kevin Hart, and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting. It was a cute date-night-in movie that even the hubs liked. Another movie we watched together was Blended with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. I loved it. It was a bit cheesy, but cheesy is my jam. I even cried. I give it two thumbs up.

I’ve been very absent from the blog world lately for good reason, but I fully intend to dive back in this coming week. Great article on potty training! I completely agree with you — when they’re ready, they’re READY! Owen wasn’t ready until about three weeks ago and for him it just clicked!
