Well, all right! We’ve made it to another Friday. This week I have not been thrown up on or in the presence of said throw-up so I’m calling it a win. And while all of blogland has belabored Lilly-gedon, I’ll just go ahead and pass up on the opportunity to talk about it. All I will say is that you’ll probably be seeing Charlotte and myself in some Lilly patterns coming to an Instagram near you. Just saying.
Now we can get on to the good stuff.
ONE.
Loving…
the iBert Safe-T-Seat. The hubs ordered this little ditty last week, and we were all anxious to get it in the mail. In the land before time, also known as pre-parenthood, M used to go mountain biking quite a bit. There are lots of reasons why he doesn’t go anymore, but this little seat made him get that fancy bike out of the garage again. It was a little work to get the seat mounted, but that’s because I don’t think the iBert people really thought this little gadget would be going onto such a hardcore bike. But once it was on and mounted securely, it was time for a test run.
Charlotte fits snuggly, and she absolutely loves it. She has had a blast riding along with her daddy. I have trailed behind, getting some running done too. I am loving the extra daylight so we can get some exercise as a family. This seat definitely gets a thumbs up from us.
TWO.
Excited about…

summertime and Starbucks refreshers. It hit 90 degrees yesterday, and I’ve worn shorts three days in a row. I think it’s safe for me to now clean out and rearrange my closet to be summer ready. While I love wearing jeans more (because hello, low maintenance is my jam), I am not about to subject myself to the heat. I hate being hot. So shorts and dresses it is. And since we all know how much I love Starbucks, summertime also means I’ll be changing up my drink order. The passion fruit tea lemonade is my favorite, and I was super excited to find this copycat recipe from CincyShopper. You’re welcome.
THREE.
Looking forward to…
water fun. I already said summertime and cool drinks, so that only means that water fun is up next. Woohoo! Last weekend, it was so warm that while the hubs was washing the car, I put Charlotte in her new little bathing suit. She kills me. I’m definitely looking forward to the pool, too. Maybe a swimsuit roundup for the mama and mini is up next?
FOUR.
Wearing…
New Balance for J.Crew. You know, while I do love me some flip flops and sandals, I also love the comfort of tennis shoes. These J.Crew gold edition New Balance tennies are back in stock. They are backordered, but most sizes are still available. Go get ’em.

the tough stuff. And since I was light and airy with the rest of the post, I thought I would just take a minute to talk about April showers. I’m hoping that we end up with May flowers, because April has had some storms. Literally and metaphorically. All I can think about is the meme that says, “I don’t want to adult today.” I won’t get into great detail, but my prayer list has been long. I hope that if you’ve had some storms lately that you weather them with grace and love. Now if you don’t have that classic “Mama Said” tune in your head, go look it up and sing it loud and proud with the rest of us.

I am the worst on bikes- very uncoordinated so would be good for my husband ;) Charlottes bathing suit and little sandals are so cute! I am going crazy with all the adorable summer girl clothes! My little girl is almost 1 and I need to find some good summer shoes for her and of course lots of outfits ;)
