Currently Confessing | Vol. 31…Spring Favorites: Vlog Edition

Say what?! I’m doing my first vlog today, and it quite possibly will be the last, so I hope you enjoy this stellar Academy Award winning production. If you’re new around here, I should warn you that I don’t ever take myself too seriously. That whole bit about award-winning? It was obviously sarcasm to the nth degree. I’m all about that grace, ’bout that grace, no trouble. The background in the video might look slightly tilted, but don’t worry, it’s just your eyes playing tricks on you. And you guys, I was a nervous wreck filming myself. I just need you to know that. Like all things, we are our own worst critics, and let me just say, I have a newfound respect for vloggers. It is no joke. But enough rambling, here are my five spring favorites.

So why was there a vlog today, you say? Because like I mentioned in the video, my fabulous friend Meg got a group of us together to share our favorite spring things via vlogging. You can find my beautiful friends’ vlogs here: 

If you don’t have time for a video, no worries. I’m covering everything the normal way, too. 

ONE. 
Love this stuff. It doesn’t smell, and it gives you a nice, natural tan color, gradually. Because pasty legs. 
TWO. 
Embellished Flat Sandals 
I love my pair from J.Crew, but unfortunately, they only have them in navy now. You can find those here. But if you want a knock-off version from Target, you can find this similar version here for a steal! 
THREE.

Pink lip glosses. The three I mentioned in the video and my favorites for spring are: YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 107 (I can’t find 107 anymore, but honestly, I love all of the colors in this product) // MAC Lustreglass in Wonder Struck // Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Soothing Sorbet

FOUR.

Floral trend. I am loving anything and everything floral for the mini and me. This kimono from Target is a new favorite, and the floral dress for Charlotte that I mentioned in the video from Old Navy is the cutest. I added a few more of my favorites below.

FIVE.

Chambray. I love this trend so much right now. It’s so versatile, and it can easily transition to any season. I’ve linked some similar options of this dress in the widget below (like this one and this one).

And of course, this trend is for the mini, too. Is this little chambray romper not the cutest on her? This romper is from last year, and just barely fits, but I did find a similar version here. I’m really looking forward to her wearing this dress this season.

    • Thanks, Tabitha! It’s totally bare bones, but it was fun after all! :) Spring is definitely a favorite, so it wasn’t hard to come up with these things. Hope you’re having a good week, girlfriend!

  3. So much fun seeing you in this vlog! You are just as cute and down to earth as you seemed in your blog posts :) I also love the Jergen’s Natural Glow lotion. I used it when it first came out and it was horrible, but they’ve changed the formula and now it’s great! Also, LOVE that chambray dress on you mama!! I definitely need to buy something like that for myself and my mini :)

    • Aww, thanks, Kelly! That is such a sweet compliment. I used to use the Jergen’s when it first came out too, and the smell was not so great. But I agree, it’s definitely improved! Thanks agin for all the sweet words! They mean a bunch!

    • Yes, Karra! And this is comfortable. I don’t even want to think about summer temps. I wish it was this type of weather year round. I hope it warms up where you are soon. But the weather doesn’t look too bad in the those tulip pictures you just photographed with your minis. :) Those were the cutest, by the way! Hope all is well with your family of 4!

    • Thanks, Amy! You are too sweet! I think that’s the right word. :) Yeah, I think that is the general problem with most self-tanners. I’m always cautious of the joints and try to rub it in thoroughly. It’s not easy getting a healthy glow these days! Lol.

I also think that you sound like SOUTH Texas, which makes me miss TAMUCC like crazy (even though that was like… uh…. almost 10 years ago).

    • Thanks, Meg! I did do it! Lol. If I can learn some fancy editing tricks like you always have in your vlog, maybe I’ll do this once a season. ;) And I definitely pretended that I was talking to someone across the table. I had to or I would have just been a hot mess! Lol. I guess I DO have a south Texas accent, although, if you go any more south than PL, my accent is tame compared to some others. You can take the girl out of the small town, but…. Thanks for letting me part of such a fun group! Loved everyone’s videos! Where was Katie’s?

    • Thanks, Jess!!! That is such a compliment! I was nervous, like a LOT. But once I started talking, I just kept going like I was just having a conversation. Lol. Made me feel a little like a weirdo. And thanks! I added all the pictures in case anyone wanted to skip the video. It won’t hurt my feelings if they miss me saying “obviously” about 10 times. ;) Hope you’re having a great week so far!

  41. I’m LOVING those sandals and that denim dress! They’re both so versatile and fresh and for spring! I think we’re finally getting close to sandal weather in Chicago and I just can’t wait. I guess that means it’s time to paint my toes again!
