One thing that surprised me after reading the results was that y’all want to see some mama fashion added to the mix. Well, all right!
A little inside scoop about the striped shirt I’m wearing: it’s an old maternity shirt. Ha! It doesn’t have ruching, so I still wear it as a tunic. As Tim Gunn says, “Make it work!” So I do. Who said you have to be pregnant to wear maternity clothes? I like reinventing my closet whenever I can, and this shirt is no exception to that. I linked a similar option though. You’re welcome.

All the things. With Lent having started this week, I’m reflecting on a lot of different things. Last year as my Lenten sacrifice, I chose to pray for discipline. The result was this blog and 10 pounds lost. This year, I want to go a little beyond that. I usually give something up, but this year I think I’m going to give more. I thought about doing Paleo more strictly, but I think I just want to focus more energy into praying. It’s totally a personal choice as to what you do (if anything at all), and some people don’t think it’s appropriate to let others know what sacrifice you’re making, but to each her own. I like to think of it as a little pact you make with Jesus and Jesus alone. So we’ll see what I do this year. I just know I can never get enough of the One and only.
So there you have it! Lots of fun things coming up and lots of grace. How has your week been? I hope that the weekend brings lots of sunshine and happiness wherever you are. Stay shining!

I am in a panic about the birthday party. I can plan all day long, but the execution is what kills me. I’m hoping my sister comes through for me! Lol. And yes to maternity clothes still being used. I mean, there is no reason for a perfectly good sweater or shirt to be left out just because it says “maternity.” ;) The cupcakes made me want to wear my maternity pants, too. Haha! Thanks, Colleen! Oh my goooosh, your daughter is killing me with the girly cuteness!!! She is SUCH a doll! And YOU lady, are so pretty!! I love your style, and I see we both have a penchant for leopard shoes lol. Leopard ANYTHING. And I hope that this week goes much better…I hate those days/weeks where they’re just not acting like themselves. Dacky has been the same way recently and I know they’re the same age….must be 2 year old growing pains lol. He was BAD for a couple of days, I don’t think he stopped whining once. Is there something going on with the moon or something? Maybe that’s what it is. Two year old problems are for the birds. I think it was her teeth. She just got some new ones, so I guess that was the culprit, too.
And yes to the cupcake eating! Michael asked if I really ate 3 cupcakes when he saw that picture. Well, duh. I ate two immediately then went back for the third one later.
Here’s to a good week for sure! We had a long, exhausting weekend and another one coming up. I’m trying to enjoy some downtime. :| If there is such a thing! Have a great one, Jess!
