Hello from Napa! Right now I’m on my first vacation away from the hubs and my baby, and I am freaking out a little bit. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, this is not news to you, but I figured it needed to be mentioned here, too. It’s always nerve-racking to leave my loves behind, but this is my first time to be gone for so long and to be so far away. I know. Four days isn’t that long, but if you’re a mom, you get it, I’m sure. Since traveling is on my mind, here are few things I wanted to share.
ONE.
Packing…
all the fall clothes. Since I didn’t want to check a bag, I needed to get all of this into one duffle bag. I hadn’t been on a vacation that required a flight in a good two years, so my packing skills had gone by the wayside. However, I tried my best to remember how to pack just my carry-on using the rolling method. It works like magic! I’ll be posting about how I got that done, hopefully next week. In the meantime, you can read this and this if you’re interested. Those are two of the articles I read to refresh my memory.
TWO.
Reading…
All the magazines and all the books. I’m hoping I’ll be finishing up Emily Giffin’s book finally. And if I do, I have these up on deck to read next. Thank goodness for the iPad and the Nook app.
But let’s be real, I’ll probably spend most of my time reading these magazines.
Or I might just take a nap during my downtime. Who knows.
THREE.
Wearing…
old, favorite jeans. You know that feeling you get when you find an old pair of jeans that fits again? Yes, that one. I finally pulled out some old skinny jeans that I had in my jeans drawer, and I forgot how much I love them. These jeans from Old Navy are very similar and are amazing! I would order the short since I’m 5’2″. Old Navy has come a long way in the jeans department. Loving these for sure.
FOUR.
Listening to…
Taylor Swizzle. This girl just keeps on writing the hits. I try not to buy into the kool-aid, but she is just too good. I love it. (Not to mention, Charlotte LOVES Shake It Off.) What vacation would be complete without listening to some new jams on your headphones? And if you don’t like T.S., well, the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.
FIVE.
Missing…
this little love muffin. The other night I posted this to Instagram, so if it’s a repeat to you, sorry I’m not sorry. But I’m sure you won’t mind. That face. I die. That’s the face I got the other night when I asked for “pretty eyes.” Pretty eyes for sure. I just love her.
A few things before I go…
1) Don’t forget to check out our Halloween festivities that I posted Wednesday. I even shared a video of Charlotte trick-or-treating for the first time ever, and it was hilarious! You can find that post here.
2) Since I’m on vacation, I won’t have a blog post on Monday, but I promise I’ll share some fun things going on via Instagram (@kristy7graces) and/or Facebook.
Happy weekend, y’all! May yours be filled with love and laughter! And if I haven’t told you lately, you are awesome. Thanks so much for reading and for following our adventures.
See where I’m linking up here.

Enjoy the vacation! Looks like you'll be doing it very stylishly… and my first extended time away from my little one was for a work trip (not nearly as fun as Napa), but I tried to look on the bright side and make the most of several uninterrupted hours of reading on the plane. It was great!
Thanks for linking up with us!

Enjoy your time away…you will obviously be looking adorable! It's hard to take time away but let loose and enjoy yourself….taking time to remember who YOU are outside of being a wife and mommy will make you that much better at home!

Thanks so much! I loved the uninterrupted reading time! :) And I don't think I have dressed up that many days in a row since I became a stay-at-home-mom. It was a blast! I'll be posting later this week about all of our shenanigans.

Thanks, Shelly! It was a lot of fun and I absolutely agree with you. I did enjoy the time to re-charge!

Aww, Jenna! You are too sweet! :) I would love that! I did enjoy our vacation, and I am still battling a vacation hangover, if you will. Lol.
Kristy says
Well, just like I thought, I read the magazines instead of the book. Ha! But it is great so far!
Kristy says
Thanks, Astleigh! I'll definitely have to check in to your exchange. It sounds like tons of fun! :)

So nice that you get to have a little vacay! But, I get it. I have yet to be away from the boys other than when little one numero dos was born. Does that count? lol I'm hoping my husband and I will have a little getaway in January for our anniversary! And your little cutie is adorable! I heart Taylor Swift and so glad I stopped by from Currently! :)

Loving your pics to pack! And, T. Swift is awesome =)

It was a blast! I hadn't been away since before Charlotte was born, so it had been a while. Sometimes a solo trip to the bano is worthy of praise! Lol. I hope you'll get an anniversary trip. :) And thank you so much for stopping by!

Thank you, mam! It was so much fun to outfit plan. I hadn't done that in a hot minute. ;) And yes, T. Swift is pretty snazzy. She is super talented for sure.
