I had given myself a much needed blogging break while we were away, and I didn’t realize how much I needed it. I’m working on several posts right now, and taking a break is exactly what I needed to get excited about writing again, and writing not just about my family but about a lot of subjects. We’ll see what comes of it. Now let’s get down to business since it’s Friday and time for current confessions, okay? Here we go.
ONE.
Thinking about…
Oh, this quote! I don’t know who this unknown person is, but they had it right. Thanks to Olivia June Designs for bringing it to light yet again. I shared this the other day on Instagram and Facebook (and I’ve actually shared this quote before here on the blog), but I feel like it needs to be seen again. I think we all try to fit a little too much onto our plate all too often, and it just makes for a rushed, chaotic life. I want to try and enjoy the little things. I want to enjoy my family. I want to try and be less distracted and focus on the important things and in this order: God, family, self. I want to notice those little things that go unnoticed. Life goes by fast, but I want this life to matter. Who’s with me?
TWO.
Looking forward to…
THREE.
Reading…
I’m actually reading a few things right now. Here’s what’s been in my rotation this week.
I started reading this in the summer, then I took a long break from it because writing and reading other blogs took priority. But because I’ve been trying to find balance in this thing called life, I started reading it again, and I am so glad I did. This has received mixed reviews, but so far I’m loving it. I don’t think there has been an Emily Giffin book that I did not like. Her books are my jam.
FOUR.
Loving…

Love that quote! I’ve been thinking along those same lines all week! :) I also love those leopard flats…Can you believe I don’t have a single leopard item in my wardrobe? I’d kind of like to change that. I wouldn’t mind have a pair of leopard flats or a scarf!

I do, too! I need to print it out and frame it. :)
I have too many leopard pieces! Lol. You definitely should get some leopard in your life. It’s the new neutral. ;) I have a scarf, too, and it’s my favorite.
Hope you’re having a great day, Chelsea!

I read the One and Only and I think I liked it but it was so different than her other books! It’s very good, just different. I don’t think I could hate any EG book though!

Lol. I love how you say you *think* you liked it. :) I’m only half way through, and I just keep smiling as I read it. But you are so right, it’s definitely something different. Emily Giffin is just too good. Hope you had a great weekend!

Thank you! It’s a big hit around here. And thanks for the compliment. I try and coordinate when I can. I’m sure it’ll only be cool for so long. ;)

Those leopard flats are amazing!! I’m sure you’ll break them in in no time. Hope you have a great time at the pumpkin patch. I am hoping to take my 16 month old daughter this weekend, too. That Halloween book looks adorable. I’ll have to look up my state. :) Whitney @ http://polka-dottyplace.blogspot.com/

We did have a great time! I’ll be sharing the pictures tomorrow. Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m loving your blog as well. :)

Loving those leopard flats! So cute!!
I also really love that quote. I’ve been spending more time off the blog recently (reducing my posts per week) and it has really helped with my stress level. October has just been crazy!
Have fun at the pumpkin patch! Those photos are so adorable.
Thanks for linking up with me for the coffee date!

Thanks, Jenna!
The flats and the quote…yep, definitely two of my favorites. :) Especially the quote. I have had to lay off the blog work a little, too. It’s crazy how much time these things consume. Sheesh. I hear ya, sister.
I love your coffee date, so thanks so much for hosting! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

It certainly is! It’s hard to say no sometimes, but it’s something I’ve learned that is just beneficial for some sanity. Lol. Thanks for stopping by, Keri! Hope you have a great week as well!
