Hi my favorite people! Happy New Year!!! Are you all still riding the high of a fresh start? I know I am. I’ve really been diving into self-reflection, listing out my dreams, and making a plan to make those dreams into reality, one goal at a time.
But let’s rewind a bit since it’s been forever since our last blog post. Christmas was jam packed with family, fun, and food. My kids now have way too much toys, and a massive purge is about to be in full effect, but we all had the best Christmas break. It felt so nice to unplug and recharge. And recharge I did.
Now that I’m diving into work full force this week, I’m really implementing what I started to dabble into before Christmas: block scheduling. If you are on Instagram, you probably have heard me talk about how I’ve learned (am learning) how to manage my time more efficiently. I wanted to share that with you here, so stay with me if you’ve already heard it over there. I know not everyone is on Insta, and this is for everybody!
It’s the first Currently Confessing of the year, and I am so excited you’re here. Let’s do this!
ONE :: DOING
Time blocking! Even if you’re not Instagram, you can go to a web browser, type in my Instagram address and watch my stories from there to see how I’ve been implementing this. You’ll want to see the highlight bubble that says Block Schedule. Then you can watch the YouTube video that started it all. You’re welcome.
TWO :: WATCHING
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Y’all. If you’re looking for a fun, funny show to binge with your hubby, try this one! It’s set in NYC in the late 50s, and it is oh-so-good. I absolutely adore this actress, Rachel Brosnahan, who just won the Emmy for Best Actress, and the entire cast is a hoot.
It’s hilarious, I love the characters, the storyline, the family drama and love, and the realness and the fashion. It’s a must-watch (just not with your kids). If you’re a Gilmore Girls fan, it’s directed by the GG director. ;)
FOUR :: BUYING
I’ve been on a winter essentials kick, especially since we’ll be heading to the snow in March. I’ll be doing a huge blog post of all my winter favorites, but until then, you can check out my Amazon page with all my favorites, here and here! You can also head to one of Seven Graces readers favorite posts of 2018 — THE BEST SWEATERS ON AMAZON.
FOUR :: LISTENING TO
For the past year, I have been loving so many podcasts and Audible books. Some favorites recently for fellow entrepreneurs are:
Podcasts
- Rise by the awesome Rachel Hollis
- Rise Together by Rach and her husband, Dave
- Goal Digger by Jenna Kutcher
- The Marie Forleo podcast
- Super Soul Conversations by Oprah
Audible
- Getting Noticed by Lindsay Teague Moreno
- Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis
- Present over Perfect by Shauna Niequest
If you don’t have Audible, I highly suggest it! It’s so easy to “read” a book this way, and it’s super cost effective versus buying several books a month. ;) I’ll be sharing more about Audible and my love for it soon, too!
FIVE :: EXCITED ABOUT
ALL THINGS WELLNESS. When I was looking over my blog’s stats in 2018, it really surprised me that my essential oils and wellness posts were two of the most read from the year. That makes me so stinkin’ excited!!! This isn’t a fad, you guys. This is a new way of living. Gone are the days of people turning a blind eye to the chemicals that are being shoved down our throats and into our home. I am so passionate about this, and my mission is to get the natural way of living into every single person’s home that I know (and don’t know yet)! It’s happening. It starts with baby steps.
I share the science and reasons often on my Grace and Golden Drops Instagram Stories, so I’d be so thrilled to have you over there. I also give you glimpses of everything I use and how I use it. Know better, do better.
I’m also so excited because today only, Young Living is having a sale, which rarely happens!!! So many of y’all ask about one, and here it is! Don’t let this one pass you by!
If you want to read more about why you should be using essential oils, you can read my blog post all about it here. Cannot wait for you to join us and start experiencing all the wonderful things they can offer!
And that’s all folks! I hope you have the best week ever! Go shine God’s light wherever you are.
Xoxo,
Kristy
