It’s been such a busy month with my busy little bee. The little things just keep making my heart fill with joy. I want to be sure to document what’s going on with Charlotte each month from now on because somehow time just keeps disappearing, and the days fly by at warp speed. So here’s a photo dump, if you will, because I want to remember all of these little things that I might have forgotten to document here on the blog…and some big things that have happened, too. Here’s what this past month looked like:
Little Miss is getting better and better at using utensils and plates at home.
We survived our first major illness (a nasty virus) with temps of 102 and higher.
Because of the illness, we had to miss her last Kindermusik class, but her teacher was so nice to send her the certificate she earned. We completed a whole year of classes. So proud of my little love! She cried the whole time her during her very first class, but she became quite the social butterfly.
We went on our first family vacation, celebrating her daddy’s birthday.
We’re still enjoying playdates with friends.
We love to go to Willie’s restaurant. She loves their mac and cheese.
My Charlotte is loving books and any sort of reading material. Be still my heart!
Her eyes and smile make me melt. And she is still in love with Piggy, her pink pig lovey.
We started swimming lessons. She is loving the water and doing so well.
We went to visit her daddy at his work, and he took us out to eat Greek food for lunch.
We had a scare with some doctor news, but thankfully, everything turned out to be just fine. Thank God for prayers creating miracles and for this little girl’s constant smiles and silly faces.
Charlotte has been loving her little splash pad, and with all that went on last week, it was such a nice distraction to see her basking in the sun.
I love our lunch dates, just the two of us. Our favorite spot is of course Chick-fil-A.
It’s no secret that Charlotte loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (and all things Disney). It was such a special treat to see the characters at her Aunt Madeline’s dance recital this past Father’s Day weekend. Not to mention, she absolutely loves music and dancing. She can’t get enough. I see many dance recitals in our future with her.
All of these little things led up to this HUGE thing. She finally did it, folks. She stood up by herself and has even taken a few steps since. Just last week I had a pediatrician telling me she needed to be put in a cast from her chest to her hip because she has hip dysplasia. Of course, a specialist said otherwise in regards to her treatment because her case is so mild, and just a week later, she is now standing on her own, on the verge of walking. God is so good!
Here she is, 16 months and thriving.
See that bottom left picture? She pulled her giraffe to the center of the living room, tucked him underneath her head, and kicked back to watch Doc McStuffins. Where does she learn this stuff?!
Standing like a big girl.
32 inches
22 pounds
Standing, taking steps, and talking up a storm. Her new favorite word is “GO.”
True that, sister. You, GO!

Thanks, Jess! It was definitely a full month with lots of little things. Standing took the cake though. :) Thanks for hosting the link up. Love it!

Happy 16! So great that she is standing, esp after the ups and downs of the hip dysplasia worry. And, she is so cute doing ALL the fun things!
