I can’t even believe Charlotte is officially a kindergartener! It is absolutely unbelievable to me that she’s grown up into a little girl so quickly. I just had a pudgy little toddler batting her eyelashes ever so coyly, and now I have a five-and-a-half year-old riding the school bus, all the while, dancing up a storm like there’s no tomorrow.

One thing that has always been so important to me as she’s been growing up is teaching her the importance of being herself. I want her to be proud and confident of who she is and all the fun quirks that make her unique. She is undoubtedly our ray of sunshine, and I know she’s going to move mountains while brightening the lives of others.

Her kindness, empathy, and compassion are all strengths I already see in her. She’s silly, funny, and just a joy to be around. I never want her to lose that.
She’s also very independent and has a fashion sense that makes me smile: always girly, always bright, and always accessorizes with a touch of sass. And one of the ways I love to foster her independence and unique self is by letting her pick out her own clothes. It’s not always easy for this mama, but it fills me with so much pride to see her personality come through with each ensemble that she creates.

It makes her proud to show off her independence, and in turn, helps her know that it’s okay to be herself.
Shopping at OshKosh B’gosh
We had so much fun back-to-school shopping, especially when we headed to OshKosh B’gosh. I just love their cool and stylish clothes, and I love them even more for keeping all of their kids’ clothes super age-appropriate. Charlotte picked out several outfits that she’ll be wearing to school with so much confidence! Kid approved, mom approved (and dad approved, too!).
Charlotte loves picking out what she’s going to wear to school the night before, and it’s been so easy to reach for her OshKosh clothes because all of the pieces are fun to mix and match!
