It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! There’s no time like the holidays, especially Christmas! Some of my very favorite things are food, movies, books, and music, so you know I have a special list for each of those things dedicated especially to Christmas. Of course, the book list is actually Charlotte’s collection with the top picks being her absolutely favorite. I could probably read all of them in my sleep. And the movies, well, we all know that it wouldn’t be Christmas without our Griswold counterparts in Christmas Vacation. But my most favorite thing I’m sharing with y’all today is my Christmas playlist. It’s pretty much gold, so I’ll share that first.
BEST CHRISTMAS PLAYLIST
I’ve been perfecting this list all season, and I think it’s about as perfect as it can get. You can save this to your Spotify list or follow it, however that works. I can’t stop listening to it! I even like the order it’s in, so I don’t shuffle. This will stay on repeat all week. Pull this out for Christmas day or dinner for some nice ambience or festiveness.
BEST SUGAR COOKIES RECIPE
Ever since Charlotte was born, we’ve started a sugar cookie tradition. It was actually a tradition that M had when he was growing up, and we take cookie making very seriously around here. But this year was so much fun (or messy) thanks to Charlotte finally being able to actually participate. You can find the recipe we use HERE. After trying several recipes, this one is by far our favorite and perfected to be not too sticky, not too dry, not too cakey– just the perfect sugar cookie.
BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES (My Top 10)
I love movies, so it was hard to narrow it down to my top 10. But when I think of Christmas, these movies are a must. I would have put Sound of Music on here, but it’s technically not a “Christmas” movie, it’s just a favorite that we happen to watch around Christmastime. Here are my top Christmas picks.
