My dearest little love,
It was only yesterday that we were bringing you home from the hospital.
You were the biggest bundle of joy, and oh how you rocked our world.
Life was really hard in the beginning (when you become a mama one day, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about), but over the past two years, you have shown me what it truly means to love, to be loved, and to know true JOY. The first year was quite a blur. Because just like that, you were one.
The second year went by more slowly, but faster than I ever knew a year could go. Life became more fun with each passing day. You learned how to say words and how to get around. You finally learned how to walk when you were 17 months old, and then you were running. You were then talking some more, and then some more, and then some more after that.
You loved all the seasons even more than the last, and you loved the holidays, too.
You are the sweetest girl I’ve ever known and so smart.
Our days are the best, especially when we go out for fun adventures.
But most of the time we love relaxing in our pajamas.
I’ll always love our nighttime snuggles and daily going-to-bed ritual of reading books. However, most nights now consist of you just roaming around your room, unwinding before you turn in for the night.
You love your babies, and they love you back. Sweetest girl ever.
Life is grand, my love. I love you more than you’ll ever know. Your smile, your laugh, your zest for life, all make my heart soar. Even the worst of days are better than the best of days I had before you. You make life better.
I am so humbled and honored to be your mama. Your daddy loves you just the same. And the rest of the family does, too. We’re some lucky folks. Don’t you ever forget these things.
Happy birthday, my beautiful baby! Forever and ever, my baby you’ll be.

My youngest is turning two in about three weeks, I’m sad but also excited at the same time. So much goes on between two and three it is CRAZY!!
