Hey, beautiful friends! Oh my word. Did any of you know it was fall? Heh. Just kidding. How about a little Five on Friday/Confessional Friday/Currently for you lovelies? Here’s what is currently going on in my neck of the woods.

Attending…
By the time this post is published, I’ll be attending my first blogging conference. Gotta love fancy schamncy technology and scheduled posts. I am so excited to be attending Blog Elevated with some of my dear friends, Channing and Michelle from Moms Without Answers, along with every other blogger in attendance. I am even more excited that I’ll be staying at a beach house with eight amazing ladies/bloggers who are really the cream of the crop. I don’t know how I got so lucky. Who said you stop going to slumber parties when you leave middle school? I can’t wait to tell you all about it. I’m sure I’ll be posting on Instagram, so feel free to follow along. Thanks to my awesome hubs for watching Charlie Bear solo so I can chase my dreams. ;)

Thankful for…
I do want to say that I’m so very thankful for life lately. Yes, I could complain about all the little things that go wrong. Yes, I could be sad about all the tragedies, deaths, new stories, and worries in the world. But what I can’t control I want to give to God, and I want to choose joy. So I choose joy. I choose joy because… I have an amazing husband. I have a beautiful, healthy little girl. I have a rambunctious dog who loves me relentlessly. I have a family who loves me and whom I love to pieces. I have the very best friends that make life better. I have a refrigerator full of food. I have a roof over my head. I have a vehicle to get me to and fro places. So I am thankful. That’s all I have to say about that. (If you just said that last sentence in Forrest Gump’s voice, bonus points to you. ;) )

Thinking about…
This quote. I saw this on Instagram the other day, and then again on Pinterest. I think it was meant for me. Lately, I have felt the rush, rush, rush of life as if it were a fast cadence from a high school drum line. I just want to slow down, and enjoy the little things. I have also been thinking about this since following Lysa TerKeurst’s The Best Yes Unrush Me posts on Instagram and Facebook. Lysa’s new book is definitely on my list of must-reads.

Watching…
Before I became a blogger, I loved blogs. Duh. Last year at this very same time, I came across the blog, A Golden Afternoon. Thanks so very much to Bonnie (Bon), I was able to watch Downton Abbey as it was being aired in the UK for Series 4. Thankfully, she’s shared again this year that the same options are still applicable for this season. Sound the chorus! She lists four options to choose from on how to enjoy the wonderful series 5 now. I followed the directions to Option 2 as seen here. I posted this link last week, but I had to post it again since I followed through and watched episode 1 already. Amazingly good episode. I can’t wait for the rest of the season to unfold!
Here are the directions: Watch by clicking this link in the questionably legal way from Watch TV Series. When you click the link from a desktop, don’t click the play button below the media player. Ads will pop up. Click the play arrow in the media player in the lower left hand corner. Depending on what device you use, you may or may not have ads open up. Just close the ads if they appear. Not only is this a stellar way to watch, it also is in HD. Even better. Make sure you adjust the setting for 720 video quality if you play from a computer. It should play at the highest quality from any other device. You’re welcome.

Loving…
Confidence. Being bold. Being different. The older I get, the more comfortable I get in my own skin. I love that I’m more akin to taking risks that I probably wouldn’t have five years ago. I love that I’m gaining more confidence in all of the things I do. May we all be a little wiser in knowing that being the best version of ourselves is much better than being a second rate version of someone else.
Any joy you want to share, friend? What’s currently going on with you?
Have an amazing weekend, my beautifuls! Be blessed.

I hope you're having a good time at the conference! I always see pictures while they're going on and it makes me so jelly. I'm sure you'll be doing a post about it when you're back? :)

Thanks, Leah! I might do one, but not too sure. ;) I have learned a ton!

Oh! I hope you enjoyed the blogging conference. I'd love to make it to one one day. Just makes it a little hard being in Australia! But do share what you've learnt, I'd love to hear.
kristyvmoreno@gmail.com says
I did enjoy it so much! I'm sure they have some in Australia. I would definitely be on the lookout. Us bloggers are starting to rule the world. ;) Haha. I will share some things most likely on Thursday. :)

Oh I so wish I could attend a blogger conference!!! So much fun! I hear awesome things about Downtown, but can't bring myself to watch:(
kristyvmoreno@gmail.com says
It was so much fun! I am so glad I went. I thought the same thing about Downton before I started watching, but once I watched my first episode, I was hooked. ;)

Ooh, I'll have to look into that Downton Abbey thing! And I love that you said you are thankful for gaining more confidence in the things you do. I think I'm working on that–not listening to the waves of doubt that come through when I'm doing what I love, and just being more confident that I can do it, whatever it may be!
kristyvmoreno@gmail.com says
Yes, you should definitely look into watching! :) I really do feel more comfortable lately. I have definitely been praying about it a ton. And I think at almost 33, I'm getting there! ;) I did a blog post a while back about doubt. It's such a sneaky little thing, but we must shut it off! We can do all things.

Hello! Stopping by from the Currently link up and I just wanted to thank you for allowing the Name/URL option on your comments. It seems every blog I go to and try to comment doesn't allow me to and it's so sad!
kristyvmoreno@gmail.com says
Hi Tiffany! I'm not sure how it's set up, but it's just default, unless I changed it. I have been thinking about adding Disqus as the comment host, but I'm not sure. We shall see. ;) Thanks for stopping by!
