It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! This weekend was filled to the brim with all things holiday. Anyone else? We started off the month of December with a bang, and I’ve really been trying to get it together ever since Thanksgiving. So far, we’ve sent out our Christmas cards, and now it’s time to get to shopping. I think I’ll call this week “Gift Guide Week” here on the blog.
I’ve slowly been buying things here and there for Charlotte (mostly Christmas books), but I think we’re finally making progress. Since we have so many people in our family who buy for her, I make a really big list. My friend Ali has helped me come up with some of the items, too, because she’s my gifting expert since she has two daughters just a little bit older than Charlotte. Does Char need most of this stuff? No. But if your family is anything like mine and at least twenty people deep, here are some really fun gift ideas you can pass along. All gift ideas are intended for the three-year-old girl.
Magformers Rainbow 30 piece set: I love these and they’re great for strengthening motor skills. Magna Tiles are another great option, but the sets are bigger and more expensive.
LeapFrog LeapPad Platinum: If you’re looking for a little tablet for your little to learn from instead of an iPad that your child just wants to watch a movie off of, this tablet is probably for you. I love the many options of games AND educational apps available from LeapFrog.
Radio Flyer Classic Tricycle: I went back and forth between this one and the 4-in-1 Trike, but since Charlotte is tall and pushing 3, we went with the classic thanks to many friends’ input.
Melissa & Doug Art Easel & art accessory set: This one is up in the air, but this will definitely need to be in the playroom soon. If not at Christmas, definitely in February for Little Miss’ birthday. Charlotte LOVES painting and coloring and chalking. A busy toddler is a happy toddler. Or is she really a little girl?
Disney Frozen Glitter Glider Anna, Elsa & Olaf doll set: Charlotte loves her Disney princesses, and she has this set of MagiClip dolls. The Frozen set to add to her collection was a no-brainer.
Disney Tsum Tsum mini plush dolls (Elsa, Anna, & Olaf): If your child is a Disney Jr. fan, they will love these little things. They sell them at Target which is where I got them, but with the holidays in full swing, they are getting harder to find. I’ve located and linked the Frozen trio on Amazon. I know this is just the beginning to this collection.
VTech Write & Learn Creative Center: Charlotte has one of these at her school, and I always see her playing on it when I go to pick her up. I think this will be a huge hit!
Disney Frozen Anna’s Tiara & Jewelry Set: Charlotte’s favorite color is pink right now, and she loves dressing up and Frozen. Still. This is great. The Elsa version is here.
Cra-Z-art Cra-Z Sand: This is a no mess sand set. And it sparkles. And it has mermaids. And it works on fine motor skills. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
Little Live Pets Lil Mouse set: I don’t know what it is about this little mouse, but kids love it. I know Char will, too.
Shopkins 12 Pack: Have you heard about Shopkins? There are so many different versions and options, there is something for every kid. Little bitty toys are always loved by the littles.
Disney Princess Palace Mini Pets set: Apparently, little toys are all the rage at this age. I have a feeling we are going to be surrounded by them soon.
Fancy Nancy books & Olivia books: Charlotte is really into reading, and two of her favorite characters are Fancy Nancy and Olivia. She doesn’t have the entire collection of either, so I’m hoping to add to it this Christmas. You can never go wrong with a growing library.
Doc McStuffins dress-up set: Dress-up is another beloved activity that little lady likes to do. I know she’ll love dressing up like her favorite doctor, Doc McStuffins.
Frozen Play-Doh set: I’ve tried to avoid it, but I know Charlotte loves this stuff. And since I won’t make it, I guess it wouldn’t hurt if it landed under our tree.
Not interested in gifting toys this year? Here are some clothing options for the fun and fashionable little girl in your life:
Gap cozy logo zip hoodie in fuchsia petal: The other day when we were in Gap Kids, Charlotte spotted this and didn’t want to let it go. Then we went again, and she gravitated to it again. This would be a great gift to wear at school on the playground.
Gap warmest down shine peplum puffer jacket in champagne: I love this jacket so much. It’s definitely for the coldest of cold days. Great necessity for the closet.
Zara Kids Minnie top: This is too cute! The details on the shirt are top knotch.
Zara Kids floral courdroy leggings: These leggings will pair so well with the Minnie top. Cute as a button!
Hunter First Gloss rain boot: If there was ever a kid’s shoe that was worth the money, these are it. Charlotte wore her first pair for an entire year. We’ll be getting two colors for this next year, black and red.
Gap winter pajamas (fair isle set here & woodland creatures in stores): You can never go wrong with pajamas for kids. Gap Kids always has the best designs.
J.Crew Crew Cuts glitter slippers: These are quite possibly the cutest little slippers ever. And they’re way cheaper than the Uggs version. I wish they came in my size.
And if you think the kid you’re buying for has everything, these are great gifts that you can never have enough of:
Melissa & Doug puzzle sets: We have this puzzle storage rack, so we could use some more puzzles to fill it up.
Melissa & Doug On The Go Water Wow!: Charlotte has used this so much this past year, we’re in need of a new one. Stocking stuffer? You bet.
Color Wonder coloring books (Frozen & Palace Pets) or Color Wonder refill set: We are huge Color Wonder fans in this house. The special markers only color on the Color Wonder pages, and we have colored on every single page we have. Time for some new ones.
And that’s all I can think of right now. I think I have you covered. But if you are still in need of more gift ideas, you can take a look back at my past gift guides.
Merry gift guide week!

Thank you so much, Jennifer! I’m looking forward to her using those Magformers. I know she’ll love them. She found some Doc McStuffins stickers in her toy bin today and kept calling herself Doctor Charlotte. Lol. I’m all about that!
